This 6-hour seminar-style workshop will be held over 3 evenings. Join Kevin Jordan as he shares his expertise gained over a 35-year career as a professional commercial photographer. The emphasis of this seminar will be on the 2 major areas of photography: technique and visual awareness.

The technical information provided will give you the knowledge to control your camera and the photographic process. But equally important, this seminar will help you to "SEE" as a photographer – by exploring the work of some of the world’s top photographers and how they achieve the look they want. You will see how they use the techniques explored in the seminar and how you can use them creatively in your own work.

Topics that will be covered include:

- The Camera Controls
The hows and whys of F-stops, shutters speeds, ISO, metering.
Not only how to use them to get the perfect exposure, but how to use them in the creative process.

-The Lens
How to choose the right lens for the shot you are taking, and why perspective and angle of view will make or break your photo.

-Controlling Exposure
The hows and whys of exposing your image and how to use exposure as a creative technique.

-What to Photograph?
The key questions to ask yourself before you shoot any image, and how answering these questions will affect any subject matter you shoot.

Requirements-
A DSLR or camera that can be set to manual controls. A good working knowledge of how to set your cameras controls –
(ISO, meter setting, f-stop setting, and shutter setting).
